Description: Position requires five years experience with the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent application in the US patent office (preferred). At least five years experience with the preparation of written opinions (preferred). At least five years experience with counseling clients on IP issues (preferred). A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain open, candid and trusting work relationships. Workload will include up to fifty percent of preparation and prosecution of patent applications including various internal opinion renderings, product clearance matters, agreement draft reviews as needed. Will liaison with outside counsel as need. Substantial client counseling of research and development as well as business management teams. Must hav a J.D. and be licensed to practice law in one or more of the 50 states, passed the USPTO Bar Exam, Bachelor of Science, preferably with a major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or computer science but will consider others if there is diagnostics experience.
